quarrel with one another.
(c) Then the old man called all his sons together to solve the problem. He gave them a bundle of sticks and asked each of them to try in turn and chop the bundle. All of them tried but failed. The old man then asked them to unite the bundle and break the sticks separately. All of them broke the sticks easily. Then the old man told them to see the power of unity and advised to live united.
(d) We get moral from the above passage that if we live united, no harm would come to us. If we quarrel with one another, we would have to face difficulty.

The lion used to be much more widely distributed in Africa and Asia than it is today. If it survives, it will probably, do so in the national parks that enlightened countries have set aside forit to live in, unmolested by man. Lions usually live in family parties called a “pride’, which commonly consists of a lion, two lionesses and cubs. They usually prey on zebras and antelopes, but pigs and other game are sometimes killed if opportunity offers. Wild lions are not normally a menace to man, unless wounded or otherwise aroused. The lion and the other big cats maintain the population balance of the forests and scrub lands where they live. Lions …never cause the total extermination of the animals on which
…Only man can destroy completely in his greed and was….cruelty.

A slumber did my spirit seal;
I had no human fears:
She seemed a thing that could not feel
The touch of earthly years.
No motion has she now, no force;
She neither hears nor sees;
Rolled round in earth’s diurnal course,
With rocks, and stones, and trees.

               I had been informed along with a few schoolmates that we had been selected to go somewhere for travelling. However,the catch was that we were not informed where. On February 22,the day we were to leave, we were told that we had  been selected as the lucky few to explore the epitome of Mughal architecture—The Qutub Minar. The minaret,constructed with sandstone,stands as the world’s tallest brick minaret,at a height of 72.5 metres. Though construction work on the UNESCO heritage site was first initiated by Qutub-ud-din Aibak,it is believed that after his tragic death, it was completed by his descendant, Iltutamish. This is the very earliest example of Indo- Islamic architecture, which means that it is influenced of both Islamic and the Hindu styles of building. It has been said that it houses India’s first mosque,which is a factor that enhances the legend’s charm. All considered the sight of the Qutub Minar will make your jaw drop in awe and search for words in vain. It will leave you speechless, literally.

Ans. Honourable Principal, respected teachers and my dear friends. I am Yuvraj of class-X. Today the topic of my speech is ‘Gandhi Jayanti’.
                      Today, on his birthday, let us remember him and celebrate this day with joy and prosperity. His life was an inspiration for all of us and the sacrifices he made, are our responsibilities
now. Let us contribute ourselves to the growth and development of our country, to pay a salute to Nation’s Father. Do not waste their efforts and struggles, by letting India go down. Even our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi has started Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, to maintain the cleanliness of our society, on this very important day.
             A speech is not enough to speak about Mahatma Gandhi’s values and deeds. But, we as the future of the country, can honor him by living our life following his principles of truth, peace, and non-violence and lead our country to an incredible nation. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat!
